Two months ago YouTube executives revealed 3 billion hours of monthly viewing, an increase of 1 billion hours in under 60 days. YouTube exec Robery Kyncl revealed the new streaming record while speaking on Thursday at the company’s new professional content channels initiative. Here are some additional stats which may surprise YouTube users: RELATED POSTS Early this week, Wall Street Journal reported about the number of hours we spend monthly watching videos on the largest online media sharing site, which apparently confirmed by a YouTube spokesperson to Mashable. Yes, it’s stunning 4-billion hours! Interestingly, back in May, YouTube announced that its users were watching 3-billion hours of videos per month and seeing how the video-sharing giant skyrocketed for a very short period of time –it might be not to long for the company to tell us that it has recorded 5-billion hours monthly.
